About Window Cleaning Plus - our story

From its humble beginnings emerging through the family business, Window Cleaning Plus can trace its origins back to Balfour Cleaning Company Limited that was established in Palmerston North in 1953 by George Balfour Senior.

Today Balfour Cleaning Company Limited employs over 100 people in the Manawatu region. It is the largest privately owned cleaning company in the region.

Stu Balfour, a third generation Balfour Cleaning Owner, recognised a niche in the market for window cleaning. Just Window Cleaning was launched in 2004 with the intentions of providing this stand-alone service.

Through branding and professionalism, his goal was to enhance the look of homes and businesses.

By 2013, the company had grown extensively through perfection, professionalism and passion, which led to the development and rebranding of Just Window Cleaning to Window Cleaning Plus in 2013.

The name change was to create a brand that could be launched nationally as a franchise and explained that the company did so much more than just window cleaning.

Today, Window Cleaning Plus offers a variety of professional services to keep homes and offices looking vibrant.

Window Cleaning Plus has many loyal customers, and delivers ongoing scheduled cleaning programmes to its clients offering peace of mind and time freedom.
